This role is an office-based position with the opportunity to travel to customer sites across the UK around 10% of the time. The client I am working with are a leading systems integrator across the UK working across mutliple process industries within varied projects. Ideally you will be an experienced Design Engineer who is used to working across customer sites within a controls and automation environment.

Responsibilities:

• Surveying customer sites to determine electrical integration solutions
• New control panel requirements
• Modify existing control panels
• Cable and containment routes
• Power distribution
• Networking (Copper/fibre)
• Able to work across multiple technology platforms including modern and legacy systems (PLC, HMI, Drives)
• Industry experience in as many of the following: Food & Beverage, Pharma, Chemical, Process, Water…
• Hygienic design principles beneficial
• Preparation of cost proposals
• Specifying hardware, obtaining hardware and electrical costings.
• Developing project documentation
• IO Schedules
• Hardware/Panel Design Specifications
• Hardware/Panel Test Specifications
• Cable/Termination Schedules
• Electrical Schematics
• Mark up/modify as per requirements
• Supervise others (provide requirements, review and comment on deliverables and approve)
• Hardware and sub-contractor procurement and management, including compliance with CDM 2015 regulations
• Attend panel FAT/PDI, review and approve against client requirements.
