Birmingham 55K - 65K Permanent
We're looking for an experienced and motivated BEMS Project Manager to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, organised professional to take full ownership of BEMS projects from initial design through to successful delivery and completion.
You'll bring previous project management experience, along with hands-on BEMS engineering and commissioning capability. A strong understanding of HVAC plant and control applications is essential, as is a good awareness of health and safety regulations. You'll have solid technical knowledge of Trend, Tridium and Schneider EcoStruxure systems, together with familiarity across a range of legacy platforms.
As someone with a good level of commercial awareness, you'll be confident in protecting project margins and making informed decisions during delivery. You'll provide excellent customer service, communicate clearly at all levels, and work effectively whether as part of a team or independently. Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise under pressure, and solid IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) are important. A full driving licence is required.
In this role, you'll design and manage the delivery of complete BEMS projects, taking them from sales handover through detailed design, delivery, commissioning and final completion. You'll review construction information, manage RFIs, and produce detailed control schedules, descriptions of operation, network schematics and outstation points lists. You'll take responsibility for procuring hardware, control panels, field devices and installation resources, as well as producing RAMS, project programmes and other key documentation.
You'll manage the commercial aspects of each project, including applications and variations, while maintaining strong, proactive communication with customers. On site, you'll coordinate and support the installation and commissioning teams to ensure milestones are met. You'll identify and communicate project risks, prepare reports for progress meetings, and compile and issue O&M manuals including 'as fitted' drawings. Throughout, you'll ensure engineering tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
You'll receive one of the best salaries in the industry, along with a company car or car allowance. We aim to keep travel local wherever possible, usually within 1.5 hours of your home. You'll benefit from private healthcare for you and your family (including access to an online GP), an annual bonus, and a generous wellbeing rewards programme offering discounts on sportswear, cinema tickets, Apple Watches and more.
We recognise dedication and loyalty, offering long-service rewards including additional annual leave after five years. You'll also have access to the Cycle to Work scheme, a structured personal development plan, and investment in training such as the full suite of BCIA courses and wider professional development. We also operate an employee referral programme with financial incentives. Above all, you'll be joining a fantastic team with a supportive working environment and excellent staff retention.
