Installation and Commissioning Engineer
Leicester based - UK wide travel
Up to 60k
Responsibilities:
- Production of detailed design specifications for programming and manufacturing applications
- Development of control system hardware and software for turbine control applications
- Specifying electrical hardware components for control systems
- Liaising with customers and sub-contractors
- Programming of PLC and SCADA applications
- Production of test specifications
- Factory and works test
- Installation and commissioning software applications.
- Design and Implementation of Fire and Gas protection systems
Essential experience:
- Good working knowledge of PLC based control and HMI systems (Rockwell and Siemens S7) with associated HMI programming.
- TUV / SUD Functional Safety qualification or equivalent.
- Power Generation industry knowledge.
- Formal qualifications in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
- Good levels of practical experience of this type of work are essential.
- Very good customer relation skills required .
- Prioritising workloads to deadline.
- Ability to extract information from specifications.
- Be able to work under own initiative, and as part of, or leading a team on site
- Must hold a current, clean driving licenses.
- Full passport
Desirable experience:
- Experience of HV or Generator protection systems.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD electrical.
- Good knowledge of Gas Turbines, Rotating machinery and hydraulic systems.
- CCNSG Passport to Safety.
- Offshore Vantage Card
